Mr. Evgeniy Bachurin, CEO of Air Company “Atlant-Soyuz” Incorporated, has taken part in the meeting concerning the matters of A/C Tu-204 SM manufacturing that took place in Ulianovsk; he also reviewed manufacturing sites where these aircraft are produced.

June 16, the Airline executed a memorandum on purchasing thirty A/C An-148 and fifteen A/C Tu-204 SM at the Paris Le Bourget air show. The first A/C Tu-204 SM shall come into the Airline in the year 2011.
Mr. Evgeniy Bachurin specifically pointed out that the primary goal of aircraft assembling is to be guided by the need of unification of all aircraft models that enter into the Airline. Furthermore, it is worthwhile developing maintenance and training base.

A/C Tu-204 SM, a significantly modernized version of Tu-204, is an aircraft with two crewmembers, PC-90A2 engines and TA-18-200 APU. This aircraft is equipped with a next generation navigation system that has auto modes for LNAV and VNAV, landing category II and IIIA. It fully complies with all international requirements, including emission, noise abatement, B-RNAV and protection from hijacking and unauthorized intervention. Its average distance range being 4000-4500 km, its commercial payload is 23 tons. Fuel consumption per one flight hour implies that A/C Tu-204 SM can be economically fuel efficient when used for flight operations in the Airline.

Line manufacturing of the first aircraft commenced on June 10, 2007 at OJSC“Aviastar-SP”. At the present moment aircraft assembly is on the run.

The delivery term of this modernized aircraft to OJSC “Tupolev” for certification type testing is April 15, 2010.
