Atlant-Soyuz Airline commenced flight operations to Azerbaijan early in May 2009, providing an air link between Baku, the capital of the Republic, and Krasnoyarsk, the greatest manufacturing and cultural centre of East Siberia, as well as Samara. Moscow-Gjendja flight route has become the next step of the Airline’s strategy for developing regular flight ops segment. ‘Step-by-step enlarging of the Airline’s route network is one of the priority goals of Atlant-Soyuz at this stage of development’, Mr. Andrew Klimenko, Director of Marketing Department, commented. Gjendja is the city that was founded in the medieval epoch, thus its geographical position defined its destiny; it is one of other venues that Atlant-Soyuz has met at the Great Silk Way. The Airline also performs flight operations to Samarqand, which has been the core point of the Great Silk Way for more than two thousand years. All flights en route Moscow-Gjendja-Moscow depart from Vnukovo International Airport that is the most convenient airport in terms of transport availability – it is situated within 11 kilometers distance from the Moscow Circle Road and 28 kilometers from the center of Moscow. Vnukovo International Airport is marked with a branchy and high-technological network of transport communication. Leaving the airport, passengers can get to the capital of Russia by three highways – Kievskoye, Borovskoye and Minskoye. Vnukovo airport is also linked with Moscow by a speedy railway line. The distance between Vnukovo airport and Kievskiy Railway Station is covered by any passenger in luxurious electric trains, whereas the journey is no longer than 35 minutes.
