List of goods and substances allowed for air transportation in the baggage compartment
Airport, airline or air operator’s administration is entitled to make a decision of introducing additional measures in terms of aviation security provision en routes which are of heightened danger, thus prohibiting the following items for transportation on board the aircraft: bottle openers; hypodermic needles (unless a medical validation is available); knitting pins; scissors with the blade length less than sixty (60) mm.; folding knives (without a clasp), traveling knives, penknives with the blade length less than sixty (60) mm . Liquids in containers which volume is more than one hundred (100) millilitres are not allowed to be taken on board even in case the container is filled by halves. Apart from this being said, pharmaceuticals, baby food and special dietary needs are allowed for transportation. The liquids which have been purchased either in a duty-free shop at the airport or on board the A/C shall be properly packed in a sealed plastic bag that ensures access identification to the contents of the bag during the flight and that has got a true approval of the fact that the purchase was made in a duty-free shop at the airport or on board the aircraft on the date(s) of the trip. List of dangerous substances and items prohibited for air transportation by passengers in both carry-on luggage and luggage (in the cargo compartment)Explosives, blasting agents and items stuffed with explosives:any kind of gun-powder in any bag and any kind of quantity; ball cartridges (including those ones of small caliber); gas spray cartridges; (hunting) fulminate caps; fireworks: pistol lights and light flares, signal cartridges, touchdown sticks, smoke barrels (pellets), blaster’s matches, Bengal fire, railway detonators; trinitrotuol, dynamite, triton, ammonal as well as other explosives; blasting caps, electric initiators, flash fuses, detonating cords and slow matches, etc.; Pressurized fluids and gas liquids: resident use gases (butane-propane) and others; gas-bags containing neuroparalityc or tear gas, etc.; Inflammable liquids: acetone; gasoline; highly inflammable petroleum products; methanol; methyl acetate (dymethyl ether); carbon disulfide; ethers; ethylcellosolve; Inflammable solid agents: substances exposed to spontaneous combustion; heat-causing water-action and combustible gases causing spontaneous firing: potassium, sodium, calcium metal and its alloys, calcium phosphide and others; white, yellow and red phosphorus and all other chemical substances related to inflammable solid substances; Acidifying substances and organic peroxides: granulous or flaked trinitrocellulose, dry or wet, containing water or dissolvent less than 25%; tableted trinitrocellulose, wet, containing spirit less than 25%, dry or wet trinitrocellulose, containing water or dissolvent less than 20%. Toxic agents Radiological agents Caustic and corrosive agents: aggressive inorganic acids: chlorine hydride, sulfuric acid, hydrogen nitrate, etc; hydrofluoric acid and other strong acids and corrosive agents; Poisons and intoxicants: any kind of toxicant, virulent and contaminating liquid/solid packaged agents: brucine, nicotine, strychnine, tetrahydrofurfuryl spirit, antifreezing agents, hydraulic-brake fluid, ethyleneglucol, mercury; hydrogen cyanide and cyanic products: cyanide, cyanide salts, arsenous anhydride, etc.; other hazardous substances, items and cargo goods, which may be used as arms for attacking the passengers, flight crew, as well as may endanger the aircraft in terms of flight safety Weapons: guns, revolvers, rifles, carbines and other fire, gas spray or pneumatic arms, electroshock devices, cutlasses, stilettos, knife-bayonets for landing personnel, except for cases and in the manner approved by the law of the Russian Federation. A detailed list of hazardous substances and items which are prohibited for air transportation on board by the crew members and passengers is represented in the Technical Instructions for the Safe Transportation of Dangerous Goods by Air (Doc 9284 AN/905 ICAO). * Composed on the basis of the following regulatory documents: 1.
